The Kickdown Promotion and MMABuzz.com have teamed up to help out some of our wounded soilders in the Warrior's Transition Unit.

Two soldiers from this unit at Fort Carson will be receiving tickets to Kickdown 50, happening this Saturday in Denver, as well as an MMABuzz.com T-Shirt and an MMABuzz.com bumper sticker.

The Warrior Transition Unit is a unit that was implemented to facilitate the reintergration of wounded warriors back into the fighting force and/or assist in the transition back to civilian life. It helps by taking the wounded warrior out of the mainstream unit, whose main purpose is to train and prepare to deploy, and bring them into an environment in which they can focus purely on their treatment and rehabilitation. The WTU at FT. Carson was originally started in June 2007 and has been one of the flagship organizations that other posts around the nation have tried to emulate.   The Warrior Transition Unit's motto is:
I am a Warrior in Transition. My job is to heal as I transition back to duty or continue serving the nation as a Veteran in my community. This is not a status, but a mission. I will succeed in this mission because I AM A WARRIOR AND I AM ARMY STRONG.
