... There needs to be a Jose vs Cam rubber match. I feel if Cam would of had more then a weeks notice he would of been in better shape. Jose was training for Luke like a normal fight, while cam took his on very short notice. A lot of peeps told him that wasn't smart. But he is a fighter and made that choice, but I would still think a rubber match would go a lot differently. |

... great venue I was 23 rows back and could see all of the action it was not very full I expected a better turnout for Denver. The first half was a little slow But the tournament was good. The pro fights were good spencers fight was a clinic on submissions and smooth transitions he just flowed from one attempt to the next I thought that cameron was going to walk away with his fight then he seemed to gas at the end of the first round he still made a good attempt If he had the wind I don't think it would have gone to the 3rd. Cammozi looked real good I think it is time for him to take it to the next level |

... Location, Location, Location!!! The venue was great but hard to find. Parking was also a major problem. I heard a lot of people mention that they had no idea where it was and then when they finally got there they had to park on the street or walk a lot of blocks to get there. The show was well worth the trouble of getting there. Again those that missed it will be kicking themselves. |

... Respect to all involved in last night's event. Huge stacked Pro-card a pretty agressive move for a first show. It paid off for everyone watching. Extra props to Camozzi for a big win. Respect to Liles for honoring his word to EFX and fighing 7 days after his IFL fight in Chicago. "Cohones of the Night Award" to Rocky Johnson for splitting his scalp down to the skull and conitiuing to fight for the win on points. Can't wait for EFX 2! |

... Same Here, thank you to everyone for attending, fighting, if you were at the show for any reason...... THANK YOU! Holy crap, what a learning curve that was, I thought the worst of it had already come the weeks leading up to the however, I was wrong. I did not get to eat yesterday until about 12 am, even at the after party, I decided not to drink and just relax. Mad props to all that have been doing their thing for some time now, I bow to you! I promise the next show will be better in many ways. Like I was saying, a learning curve. We knew where the place was and where to park, but we have been there "like a lot" so it never crossed our minds that there would be such a disaster with parking, there were 3 other events in the CCC that day, When we got there earlier, we were told that all of the parking was already full, it would have been impossible to make all of the necessary calls to let people know. Like I said, a lot will be different next time and we look forward to seeing you all soon! After this, I think I need to fight however, I will be at 35's as I have lost a bunch of weight over the past couple! Again THANK YOU EVERYONE! Mike, dude, sooooooo sorry bout how that turned out, you owe a kick in the junk, but hope you enjoyed the fights! |

... What happened with the Mark K fight? How in the hell were those elbows ILLEGAL? That was the exact same elbow that Silva dropped on Lutter...why was Mark penalized a point? That was the deciding factor in that SPLIT DECISION!!!! Let me know, I think Mark was robbed. |

... the only illegal elbows are from 12-6, and ones on the spine. If they were like the Silva fight (which I can't comment on I havn't seen it) then they are legal. I was let down when in another show I saw 7 12-6 elbows on the spine, and it took the 7th one ot be stoped. I am startingt o wonder about some of the refs in CO. |

... Mike Ruman suggested I post this here: 13 fights, 6 professional bouts, and a 4 man featherweight tournament The EFX (Elite Fighting Xtreme ) show was spectacular. I was furtunate enough to act as the Master of Ceremonies for this inaugeral event, and I must say, it was a pleasure to do so. The promoters for the show were Jerome Locke and Jaime Addy. Both are fighters that decided to do things their own way and promote a show on their own. Speaking for other promoters and as a former promoter myself years ago, this is a huge undertaking that puts you right in the bulls-eye of everyone involved. Both Jaime and Jerome handled everything thrown at them and took it all in stride. Excellent job by the two of them! I’m not here to give the full results of the show. For that go to MMAbuzz.com. My job is to give my observations of how the show went. Here they are: (see the rest at MrWatchParty.com) |

Its a shame because the place was awesome. It was great to be looking downwards at the cage. A shame only 450 people saw it if thats true. |

... from mmaweekly - CAMOZZI TOPS LILES IN EFX'S DENVER DEBUT Monday, November 12, 2007 - by Ken Pishna (Photos courtesy of April Pishna) Camozzi_wBelts.jpg (Photos courtesy of April Pishna / PishnaPhoto.com) DENVER – Saturday night was a much better night for rising middleweight talent Chris Camozzi than it was for the debuting Elite Fighting Xtreme promoters. The first event of the new promotion offered a fair amount of local talent that put forth their best efforts, but EFX had a difficult time drawing fans to the 5,000-seat Wells Fargo Theater in Downtown Denver. Estimates put attendance well below the 1,000 mark for the opening effort of EFX, although the promoters would not verify what the actual attendance was. The main event featured a middleweight title fight pitting International Fight League veteran Donnie Liles – just one week removed from a decision loss to Jay Hieron in the World Grand Prix – against the aforementioned Camozzi, who was coming off of a winning effort just two weeks prior. Liles appeared to take the upper hand early on, landing several good punching combinations that tested the chin of his opponent. Camozzi passed the test, however, and rebounded midway through the opening round to turn the tide. Just before the bell, he dropped Liles to the mat with a body shot and followed up with a barrage of punches that caused the referee to step in and stop the bout. Although Camozzi said after the fight that he “didn’t really feel good out there,” you’d have been hard pressed to know it the way he stunned Liles and closed out the fight. The win improved his overall record to an impressive 8-0 and should start earning him some strong looks from promoters outside of the Rocky Mountain region. |

I got to the show and was told I could not buy general admission tix even though they were far from selling out,so had to buy the $35 lower level tix, I guess the show didn't sell like expected so they got their money from guys like me that actuall showed up. Good venue and some good fights but I won't ever got back, they didn't even check tickets, eveyone sat wherever... |

... I got there at 5:40 and they were selling GA tics still and they were checking tics on the way in then at some point the ushers came and said we could sit wherever That may have been when the change was made and that might be a venue thing not a promoter decision based on tic sales It does suck to pay more then expected but I have payed 50 or more sat closer and couldn't see a thing I am willing to pay a little more for better seating I think it was a good production they will learn from this first one and get better |

... wow sounds like another ninja. i wonder if this is another bitter person. Either way to say that the Camozzi Liles fight was the only good fight is retarded, when I have heard from many many people that there were some other good fights. But what do I expect from the Colorado MMA shows, but people leaving random comments hidden behind screen names. How many so far? Sure seems someone, or some promoter is sure having to come on and talk s**t. ones already been disproven. While I think it was BS raising the prices at the last minute, I think to come out and say the fights weren't that good is just lame. Point out legidimate stuff, and leave the ninja antics to people who are scared to be known for who they are. Also what show hasn't lost money on their first few, or if more shows? everyone is trying to go big, but man i have heard of some worse shows happening, and the promotions are still going. man up, but I doubt that will happen, and more "annonaymas" posters while come around. |

... J grouch WTF is your major malfunction numb nuts? What is your purpose for slamming fighters? Spencer Hooker, Cameron, Louise boring? Are you on a steady diet of Depressants? And Donnie Who? I was rooting for Chris and thought he would win. But Donnie Who? You my friend should have the taste slapped out of your mouth for disrespecting the fighters. I do not know who you are and do not care but the lack of respect and way you dog the fighters leads me to believe you are not true member of the MMA community. If you have issue with the promoter fine take it up with them but if you dog fighters you suck! If a fighter trains and gets in the ring he deserves respect. Yes he opens himself up to critique but not the crap you spew. |

... I think as far as the parking, now that people know where the venue is at, they can just plan to park and walk a little ways. The fights were off the hook, no doubt - good match making Jerome. One fight that I think someone needs to put together is Jesse Henley vs. Eric Fagyas. Overall I was impressed with the show and I'm looking forward to the next one. |

"Hey this is Mike Wightman one of the owners and active partners of EFX. Everything I have read online over the past couple weeks talks about Jamie and Jerome which is well deserved but there were 2 other guys who were just as active in the planning, set up and execution of this event and they are myself and our other partner Greg Caldwell. We also have an equal partner who is the money guy, Jerry L. Brumley. I think it is important to let you and others know this isn't a 2 man show. Respectfully, Michael Wightman COO EFX Elite Fighting Xtreme" |

... I want to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who supported us out there on Saturday night! It meant a lot! I really enjoyed the fights, it was a good line up! As far as all the glitches, it was the first show for these guys and it is a learning curve whenever a new show starts up. No one is going to throw a perfect show the first time out. You guys did a great job considering all the issues that came up. To Cameron and his team, it was one hell of a match up and it took 2 great fighters to make a good match. Thank you to Cameron and his team, you are all great people to be in this with! To all the other fighters and teams and families and friends, it was an exciting venue and everyone made it happen together. That is what it is all about! |

... Well put mrmusclemaker there is alot of blood sweat and time put in by fighters to get in the ring saying the need some work on ther ground game is one thing but saying the're boring is just wrong. The match makers do the best they can seting up these fights It is hard when you have a guy 1 and 0 to match him up but you do the best you can.I don't see how any one can say the pro fights were boring I think some people just need an education in the ground game so they understand whats going on |

... Hey everyone. For the record EFX is made up of five guys with very diverse back grounds. The 3 partners that haven't been spoken about are myself Mike Wightman, Greg Caldwell and the Brumley International Group. As a collective whole we bring a different feel and experiance to MMA. Listen to the people who were at the show and can attest to the great experiance of EFX evolution. Expect to see big things from EFX as we aren't a one show and go group. We aren't a large company looking to take everyone out. We worked closely with several members activly involved in the MMA community. We are looking to contribute to MMA popularity growth education. MMA isn't about putting 2 street fighters in a ring to knock each other out. It's a science, sport and way of life. Thank you all who came out and delt with horrible parking issues. Trust me when I say if we knew parking was going to be a problem we would have looked at other options. We selected the venue because of our ability to provide high class accomidations to the fighters and the fans. With more the 4,000 stadium style seats there wasn't a bad seat in the place. We had some bugs but show me a new promotion that went off with out a single problem. Remember how long it took for the UFC to reach the top of the food chain. It wasn't in one night. Thank you again for those who showed up and those who will be there next time. Also thank you to all the media who made it, our wives, the fighters (and their families) and other promotions for your support. |

... It was a great event!! The venue was huge with great views. I thought the event was amazingly organized and professional. Even more impressive when considering it was their first event! I thought the fight card was great. Their were good matchups and constant excitement. The tournament was awesome too since all the teams were there and letting it be known who they were supporting. Can't wait for the next event. Obviously it wasn't the UFC but if #1 was this good, imagine how good the next event will be. Its nice seeing the up and comers who have the world to prove! |

... Hey there Jcrouch, as far as you being upset about the show, I personally apologize for that however, I agree with everyone else, take that up with me and the other guys, not the fighters. Being a fighter myself, I know what it takes to get in the ring and fight, those guys put it all on the line for you, the spectators and for you to bash them for something they had nothing to do with is wrong. Last but not least, so you have your facts right (which is always a good idea before you pass judgment on anyone) we worked very hard to find an outside investor to put this show on, this money does not come from my "mommy and daddy" |

... I was impressed by how smooth the show ran other than the ambulance delaying it an hour. The fights for the most part were just plain sick.My first time seeing manual gallardo and he just doesn't stop, very impressive.Gallardo and dollar would be a sick fight.wink wink. How about korzis ground game it wasn't quite a clinic but he looked good against a "grappler".Bs on the elbow that fight was his.I loved the rematch of martinez and bushman I stick by my word tho Istill think brenton could've handled both.As far as his fight go's he ran into somebody just as athletic with a much better skill level. Not making excuse but jb goes to school in gunnison and for those of you who have been there know that mma training is unheard of up there. On one other matter i was happy to see that one fighter who ran his mouth a few weeks ago at hell razor in the dressing room ate his words.Never underestimate your opponent dumbass.Congrats to jerome and jamie and the other partners involved.I swear to god tho if i'm not on the next one i will run around butt ass naked screaming your both gay.hahha |
