The 46th installment of the Denver, Colorado based
Kick Down will get the new year started with their first ever 4 man Welterweight
tournament which will crown the winner the "Last Man Standing". For only the
second time in the promotions history a 4 man tournament where the winner will
have to win twice in one night to be crowned champion and last man standing.
Former Middleweight champ Bud Lawson will face Sean McPeck in the opening round
and Robert Martinez fighting out of Denver,Colorado will face Ky Funk out of
Riverton,Wyoming. The winner of the tournament will also be crowned the new
Welterweight champion. In addition to the 4 man tournament undefeated Sebastian
Puente (5-0) will make a title defense in the middleweight division to take on
Casper, Wyoming veteran Ken "Bam Bam" Scott who has strung together some
impressive victories and vacates his Heavyweight title to move down two weight
classes to take on the toughest man in the middleweight division in Puente. In
other action Forrest Tobin will face undefeated Robert Fitch for the heavyweight
crown and Jason Brenton will make his second featherweight title defense against
Justin Rasmussen. A 12 bout card which will feature the 4 man tournament and 3
other titles. Casper ,Wyoming has become a great home to the Kick Down promotion
and we wanted to repay the great fans there with a solid start for the newyear
states Kick Down promoter Steve Alley.
