... We need to be extremely clear here. I am Steve Alley the owner of the Kick Down. No other person has ANY claim or interest in it (wife excepted) than me. I have no interest in the WFC and I co promoted 1 show which was called Kick Down - WFC or WFC - Kick Down depending on what flyer you got. I have ring announced for Gino C on perhaps 6 different occasions as I have done for just about every promotion in the region including WFC, RMBB, ROF, KD, NO MERCY, etc etc. I will be doing the live PPV on April 12 with my broadcast partner JR Gordon and have always loved to do ANY kind of work in broadcasting and announcing and those that know me could attest to that. I have worked with many major promotions as well but I have No interest in the WFC and he has no interest in my promotion. Actually Keith S is doing some of the matches on the under card and I am working the telecast and that sort of thing. It would appear to have some decent matches on the card like Cabbage and Jeff Ford etc. Eric Lalone is just about right on in his description. Thank You..S.A. |

... Also the 16 year old is the step son of Damond Clark who is the Kick Down Hvy Weight Pro Champ and I have discussed this kid even with the Colo Comm. He is that good and could fight in other states if approved even at that age. He is 0-1 and lost to another 16 year old phenom named Blaze Schubert. Both Fathers cornered their sons and it was a show stopper fight that went to a decision and every fan in the building stood giving these two minors a standing ovation. They fought like they'd been doing it for 10 years so just in case you thought I did not do my home work because of their age...their parents cornered for them with their blessing. |

... That fight between Roszel and Schubert (16 year olds)was one of the best fights of any local promotion last year! |

... that WFC card is on Pay Per View? anhyways, I see were you are only doing teh commenating, and I can kind of understand you point, but I feel anyone who supports out sport, and wants the best, should want nothing to do with the WFC because of Tommy Morrison, them giving him a fight, and them supporting the fake paperwork he tried passing off. Gino C is a smear on the sport, and is ruining teh image of our sport with taht crap. I would hope more people want nothing to do with that. I personally know of some managers who will not have their fighters fight on that card just for that reason. |

... Was it ever really proven that Morrison is in fact positive - faked it all? I wasn't aware of that. Seems like a lot of speculation and rumors. He was cleared with some commission, right? If he was cleared then there's no wrong doing by the WFC. |

... "His return to prizefighting came after several years of his belief that he was given a false-positive HIV exam in Las Vegas. Since December 2006, Morrison claimed that he had tested negative for HIV on four occasions.[2] The head of the Arizona State Boxing Commission personally watched Morrison take a blood test at a lab in Phoenix, and received the official results demonstrating that Morrison was HIV negative.[2] As a result of his negative test in Phoenix, Morrison was licensed Tuesday February 20, 2007 by the West Virginia Athletic Commission and faced John Castle of Indianapolis in a four-round bout Thursday night February 22, 2007 at Mountaineer Race Track in Chester.[5] Castle (4-2, 2 KOs) had been knocked out in his last two fights. After landing few punches, and being scored behind at the end of the first round, Morrison swooped in with his trademark left hook to knock out Castle in the middle of Round 2.[6] The Morrison-Castle bout was not aired on television, but a post-fight interview with Morrison showed redness under his eyes that possibly could have been blood. It was reported on June 8, 2007 by the Arizona Republic that Morrison recently tested positive for HIV, which would disprove Morrison's claims that he either never had the virus in the first place or that it had disappeared. The report was based on statements from Randy Lang, a former agent for Morrison, who says the boxer has Hepatitis C as well as being HIV positive. The argument is that if in fact Morrison tested positive for HIV 11 years ago, and there is yet to be any such cure for the blood-borne disease, then he remains HIV positive. According to Morrison's former agent, Morrison and Arizona promoter Peter McKinn were responsible for the fraudulent test results that somehow passed approval in West Virginia. After that, Morrison was refused a license in Texas and the public was told that a doctor was late filing the paperwork. In the Arizona Republic story, Morrison's fiance disparaged Lang but didn't directly deny the claim. [7] " "Since the fight was being held on the Yavapai-Apache Nation reservation -- outside the Arizona State Boxing Commission's jurisdiction -- Morrison did not need a blood test. That much was known. " |

... tests or no test, I was there when Morrison fought John Stover on the res. in Arizona, and that guy is retarded, Gino did everything he could to smooth the situation out. HIV or not the guy still changed the rules of mma to suit his style (boxing)the rules were simple, no subs, no ground, just boxing with little gloves, last second stupidity, out of control,WFC tried to do there best just to keep things calm and get a fight off. |

... Too much confussion there. Either way, this show on the 12th has a good card which is something lacking in some of these smaller shows around here. |

... and anyone involved, or actually cares about the sport, should not support this guy. I mean come on, this guy threw a fight together with Tommy Friggin Morrison, its not even teh fact that he could NOT be HIV possitive, its the fact he threw a fight, when he COULD OF HAD HIV. thats what is wrong with this who situation. hey, you can try to say he never had it (which I think is BS), but the fact is he still could of, and that is just reckless, and un ethical. With how you speak up against some MMA promoters, I am surprised you are standing by that. |

... and Shannon, to clear it up, Tommy tried going to Texas with his Arizona results, and thought he could get a license to fight iwth it, but when they told him he needed to get a new test , he conviently changed his mind to take a fight in Texas. Also, dude had a s**t load of legal fees from being in prison for a year, and needed money, then all of a sudden doesn't have HIV, even though a few years before, he fought in china for an aids fondation in a smoker. Making a case for this dude who runs WFC (when a HUGE ammount of the MMA commuinity thinks this guy shoudl eb ashamed for it, and all of the MMA press feels the same way) is weird. I mean I know local Colorado goes way back, but I mean come on. its like no one wants to speak up about it, and even rock the boat. |

... I just feel bashing the WFC for this one issue is a little lacking. The guy was cleared to fight. As far as the "spectical" issue goes, it's no different than the UFC bringing in WWE stars. This show has a great card. The production will be great as well. |

... Disclaimer: I will be working this show. I think its an interesting card with local pros stepping up against well known fighters. I think fans who have followed the sport long enough to know names like Cabbage, Shone, Sevren are excited to see it. Having said that I would not agree to work the card if Morrison were fighting, which is a moot point because he could never get a license in Colorado. |

... Who would expect anything less from Kickdown but this type of quality show. Another job well done. Props to Leslie who is starting to make a name for herself in local womens MMA. I can attest to her work ethic in the gym....who's next. Suski with another quick win. Way to go. Swortword, tough loss. Hang in there, you'll be back. Forrest - I wouldn't want to be next for him. He has shown solid ground game, a calm head in the ring, and just try standing up with this guy's reach and power. Can't wait for May 10th!!! |
