Nick Diaz fights for Gracie Fighting Championships

 

 To the surprise of most UFC fans, Nick Diaz has left the UFC to fight for Gracie Fighting Championship. Nick Diaz recently beat Gleison Tibau by TKO in UFC 65 Bad Intentions. Nick Diaz has proved to be a formidable openent in the Octogon. He has beaten opponents such as Josh Neer, Drew Fickett, and more. However, in recent past Diaz was defeated by Sean "The Muscle Shark" Sherk, Joe Riggs, and Diego Sanchez. For Diaz to get though these powerful opponents would be a momentous undertaking. If these losses were part of the reason for Nick's decision to change organizations, that seems to remain unknown. What is known is Nick will make is début fight against "The Wildman" Thomas Denny for the welterweight champion belt. The fight was originally scheduled for Jan 20th, however, the fight has been postponed and yet to be announced.
