Bad choice to not release a fight card IMO it will hurt the draw big time. I always look at the card to see if there is a fight or two on the card I want to see prior to going.

I think that the promotion goes for more of the "see 13 action packed, head cracking cage fights" rather then a fight card.

The promoters don't want to promise a match-up and then not deliver on that promise.

I understand their concern but at the same time it's still it's nice to know a few people who 'may' fight.

Names I know of so far are:
Santana Martinez
Josh Kirby (I think)
Phil Bassignani
Kyle Davis

Kamalu has finally gotten his wish and moved back to the islands. This is where he is truly happy and I wish him luck.

However, he has promised to come back for a few fights. One of them being Aaron Truxel. He will be training with BJ Penns crew in Hawaii.

I'm sure we'll see big things from him.

pro fights are:

rex paine vs. jason dake
sean claffy vs. rocky johnson

we do not like to release am fights. They sometimes go as planned and sometimes they do not.
we just do not like to sell people on something that may or may not happen, because of the backlash we have gotten even whenever they are not our shows. we are bringing in a weapons / martial arts demo team from denver and one hell of a light and sound show. it is going to be a great time and we guarantee everyone will enjoy themselves. we will release the entire fight card friday afternoon on www.nmefighting.com hope you guys understand.

I'm both happy and disappointed that Kamalu has moved. I would have loved to learn just how good he is, whether its sparring or fighting. I don't think it'd be much of a contest for him to fight Truxell, though. In my opinion, the abilities of Kam is years ahead of Truxell's. Not to take anything away from Trux, but I don't see him on that level. As for the fight card issue, I can definitely understand where NME is coming from. Kind of a two sides of the coin deal. Other than that, I wish the show the best of luck. Should be a good one. For now, gotta train. Deuces!

All fight cards are subject to change, that's the nature of the business. Posting your fight card not only generates interest, it builds up the local fighters

furthermore, the fighter pics on the flyer would have one believe that those people are actually fighting on the show, when almost all of them are in fact not. Just some constructive criticism for the next event... Good luck with the show

I am not trying to bash anything either, but when certain people have been involved in match making, that are involved with the show, it has been known they make fights on short notice.

If those are the pro fights I'd hate to see what the am fights are. Why can't CO SPRGS shows get some decent fights? I don't think I've ever seen a good show down there. It's always the same lame fight cards regardless of promotion.

When was the last time you saw a good show in CO SPRGS? One on the same playing field as a Ring of Fire or KickDown.? Uhhhhhh...never.

Dude kickdown and ring of fire both have thrown some s**tty shows too. Plus I would say the tap or snap 3 shows ago with Rollers vs Mallerro was pretty f**king good.
Also when your show is in a metropoliton area, I woudl sure hope you get better quality fights.

You must be going WAY back when talking about a poor ROF or KD show. I've never seen one and I've been going for quit some time. Everything about those two shows is light years above anything in the SPRGS.

A good Tap or Snap show...are you kidding me. You're talking about the bottom of the barrell now. You just lost all crediability. There may be an occasional good scrap (and I say scrap because of the typical lack of skill in that show) but a good show, come on. I realize they have stepped into better venues (how about those great bar room shows, lol) but the show is still the same.

Whether a show is in Denver or CO SPRGS makes no difference. The two cities are so close that the same fighters are available for both locations. Only difference is that ROF and KD care about the quality of their fights and get much better match ups. Hell, until recently, COS didn't even have pro fights.

I see no point in arguing with fan boys that don't have a clue. Enjoy trying to counter with anything that sounds like logic. LOL

Ring of Fire and Kickdown both started where the local shows in Colorado Springs are right now. Everything gets better with age and so will these shows. Look where Tap or Snap started. First it was at a Mexican bar no more than 100 square feet. Then at the Icon. And it's moved up from there.

First, I am not a fan boy, second, you are the guy who has to hide behind a guest account when he speaks his opinion, while I, am not a chicken s**t coward who needs to do that.

Second, who said I was a fan boy? I am 29 years old, and speak my mind on anything I see in the sport that is f**ked up.

I am no public defender for COS shows, but I am simply pointing out, that every Kickdown, and Ring of Fire show isn't f**king the crem de la crem of f**king MMA. At least there are shows in COS for COS fighters.

And my last point, even though my logic is flawed and i have no idea what I am talking about, is if you don't like COS shows, how the hell do you know if they suck or not? DO you drive here for every one just to see if it sucks?

i will admit some do suck, but that tap or snap headlined by Roller was good, and its to bad you missed it.

btw, what are you doing up so early? Tell your mom you're 45 and you don't need ot be woken up anymore!

I first started covering MMA shows back in October and I have seen a HUGE improvement in the shows in the Springs. Better fighters, better venues, better crowds, etc.

The one major factor I love about fights in the Springs is that the crowd is always into it. To me that adds to the excitement of a fight.

Now that the Springs is getting more and more pro fights I'm sure we'll be seeing bigger name fighters down here. Hell, we have Luke Holdorf fighting down here on June 24th. That guy has almost every belt out there. And it was also great to see Eric Fagyas fight down here. Hopefully we get more of the big names in Colorado Springs fighting at the Colorado Springs venues (how about seeing Chilo Gonzalez?).

Rocky Johnson, who is fighting in the main event at NME against Sean Claffey, is a veteran of several Ring of Fire shows. Brett Roller was ranked 2nd in his division in Utah(Pro MMA). Corey Hill fought his debut mma fight on Tap or Snap. While the local shows don't have anywhere near the longevity that the Denver shows do, one thing is clearly evident. Each show is an improvement over the last, both in the fights and the venues (yet to be seen for NME). I'm glad we have fights in the Springs, and any mma fan would be hardpressed to say otherwise. Additionally, I have been to several lackluster Ring of Fires and Kickdowns. Sometimes the shows are great, sometimes they are not, but I usually enjoy them regardless.

I was going to go to the show, but not now. I was at there first show and it was alright. This one doesn't seem as good. I don't know about you guys but this whole fight seems doomed from the start. I am going to the moto cross races they talked about at the Tap or Snap.

Damn Mr Guest what is your hard on? Not to sound like a dick but your speech sounds a little like the drunk 98# wanna b fan at the fights. If you are going to come on that strong at least have some balls identify yourself and stand up and be counted for your self. Sheesh. Get no respect like that my man.
