NME: Annihilation III RESULTS

{sidebar id=1}No Mercy Fighting put on their third installment of Annihilation on July 20th, 2007 in Colorado Springs. The shows gave us 11 Mixed Martial Arts fights. The card featured many new faces to the MMA scene hungry for their first fight, and they got it. I was impressed with the skill level of many of these new fighters, seems the fight gyms are doing a great job of getting these fighters prepared.

Should be a couple other good fights on that card as well.
I know both Eddie and Danny. They will both bring there A game. Danny is a pretty tough kid.
Josh Kirby is planning on fighting on this card as well. So it will be a fun night for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing Eddie fight. I talked to him on Saturday and know he's very excited to get in the ring and show us all what he can do. I've not seen Danny fight, but he's got quite an impressive resume.

And of course Josh 'The Bear' Kirby, can't wait to see him fight again.

I saw Danny fight to pretty impressive victory over Justin Anderson. Even with a split open eye, he ended the fight on the ground. I've talked with Eddie Leonard before but I haven't seen him fight. Has anyone else?

I know Danny will bring it. So Eddie needs to. I hope Eddie lives up to his billing.
Josh will be in the best shape of his life. I know because i am responsible for his conditionong. Via Juan Carlos Santana. So he will be in fight shape. He is working with Drew and Gabe hopefully some more as well. Should see improvement every fight

Danny does seam to have a strong resume....However Eddie is going to be in the best shape of his life. I think this will make for one of the best fights so far this year. We will see....Josh Kirby is new but I forcast a strong career out of him. Not to mention Mr. musclemaker kickin the s**t out of us on thursdays and sundays. Pacific Warriors Dead Man's Dojo will def represent that weekend as we will have 5 or more fighters (maybe myself included) participating. Good luck to all.

I realize that I'm probably the only one who bothers to check channel 32 on Sundays to see what NME is showing but I've gotta comment on tonights show...

Holy crap was that awful! From the fights to the production it was all piss poor. Who the hell did they have videotape that show? That was the worst job I have ever seen! It was so bad that I'm shocked NME would air that as a representation of themselves. The audio was even worse. I could tell that there supposed to be commentary but I could barely hear it.

It's a shame that the public might be seeing this crap and thinking that's what CO MMA is like. Maybe we'll get lucky and these a**clowns will go under.

Who is this David clown? Always bashing someone. You never even fought before in or out a cage, getting your lunch money taken away in school.
Why dont you show some support for mma.Or go watch some figure skating or something you fake. NME and TOS keep up the good work.

I haven't watched the show for a while, but what I saw, it was getting worse every time.

The show that I watched being filmed a while ago was pretty good. But things were a lot different. Shannon Berry was doing all the filming and editing. Mike Ruman was doing a news segment called "The Buzz." And there were actual interviews with fighters, and on screen commentary with Steve Alley.

They have in turn gotten rid of everything mentioned above. They are now just showing fights and commercials. I and a host of other people had given them a bunch of ideas on how to improve their show but they obviously want to do it their way.

Chris Zacher translation:

"While I don't agree with the No Mercy production, I believe they are human beings that deserve a shot at running a promotion and a television show. It might not be good for MMA in Colorado but they shouldn't have their feeling hurt in any way. While I perfer to attend the fights on August 18th, I encourage eve"

NEVER MIND!

Well i hope the 17th is better. I am pretty sure we have fighters on the 17th and on the 18th. Honestly I wish both promotions the best show possible. I think Drew and Josh are fighting on the NME card and KO is fighting on the 18th. (If i have my info right) I always wish the fighters and promoiters the best. They all make mistakes. Some learn some do not. Time will tell it always does. I personally am in this for the fighters and I will watch out for mine and make sure they are not mismatched and used. Learned quickly on that. Ok now I am old man babling... Help i've fallen and I can't get up!

I tuned this past Sun for a few minutes (thanks to a call from a friend, lol). It was bad. I hope NME didn't pay for that. Does anybody know who shot it? I want to make sure I never hire anybody assoicated with that production to help me out. I've hired some bad shooters before but that was absolutely shameful (if someone did charge for it).

This show started out as a great production but has dropped in quality big time. I've seen a few episodes since my departure (just a bit here and there). I don't watch the whole thing as it has been nothing but my event DVD's with their sponcers commercials thrown in.

For the record, I don't want my work/copyrights infringed upon anymore. For everything I did for NME, I never received anything in return - not even a thank you. Why should they continue to profit from my work? Don't expect to see anymore of my work on this show as I plan to do something about it this week.

I've read some the comments made by others on this site (caugh,David, caugh). Thanks for supporting what I do. I try to stay out of online "battles" but thought I should let my position be known on this subject.

On a side note, I'm now coaching at Joint Forces on Thursdays for those interested in trainging with me.

Thanks for the support everyone. Right now I'm scheduled for just once a week at JF. They train ground on Tues as well but I can't make it on Tues for awhile. I'm open to just about anything (anywhere). I have some mats in my basement now also.

I didn't get the impression that my coaching was wanted at DI the couple times I've been by there. I'm open to it though if Eric is interested. I'd have to discuss things witht the JF guys though.

Chris, yeah for ground. Submission grappling is my specialty.

Anon..... Are you f@*#ing kidding me???? There are so many great fighters that have already made it from colorado and you are trying to say lamumba sayers is gonna be the one.... First of all he is not a great fighter maybe a decent boxer but his ground game is piss poor he has zero cardio and you know what hes not even a good boxer we will say hes a good brawler and hits hard because boxing is so much more than power. if he doesnt connect in the first minute he is drained of energy... Not to mention he hasnt even fought any well known good fighters here in colorado and until he does and can prove hes even worthy of an unblemished record i will never consider him even close to the top guys here in colorado. people like you piss me off.. Come on capone quit padding your record and fight someone thats been fighting more than 2 weeks!!!!!!
yours truly, Brett Roller
