A portion of the entry fee goes to the local charity CASA. CASA stands for Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) – The Supervised Exchange/Parenting Time (SEPT) are a court-ordered service to protect children and adult victims from witnessing or involvement in physical conflict. The program enables adult victims of domestic violence to permit parenting time with the offender without face-to-face contact, alleviating further domestic violence trauma or re-victimization. The program provides accountability, and courts are informed of lack of compliance and/or inappropriate behaviors. (from The City of Colorado Springs website )
