... Its not the same fighters every time. They switch the cards. But if a fighter is winning and bringing out a crowd as stated above keep bringing them back. And ROF is hands down the best promotion in the Rocky Mountain Region. |

... It is said that every over night success is ten years in the making. Well Sven Bean and the Ring of Fire are coming up on their ten year mark and it has grown tremendously in that time. It all started out in a small hotel ballroom at the Denver Radisson, Castle hotel. They're now packing the Broomfield Event Center. |

... The Ring Of Fire hasa a pool of regular fighters, just like the UFC or Pride, plus Sven is always on the hunt for new talent. Not to knock the other shows in the region, but it takes alot of promotion to fill an arena like the Broomfield Events Center. |

... I agree about testing. I have it from a pretty good source that an ammy that J fought was using alot of juice. I wouldn;t call them out because there is a,ways a possibility I am wrong. But wonder what he will do when he goes pro and gets tested. I am in favor of a 5 to 10 dollar increase in fees to test ammys. Alot of cheaters would be exposed. |

... Unless, someone is tested and there is proof of such then this subject needs to be left alone in a public forum. Accusing fighters of being on the juice, even speculating that they are, is wrong. This is the type of thing that can ruin someones career in the long run. They used to talk about Donnie Liles that way. Again unless you have proof. |

... I can now officially say that I am deeply upset by the forum here... thank you Eric for trying to get the subject out... I might be responding from too much of a personal level here but I am also responding from a very KNOWLEDGEABLE basis... PLEASE do NOT EVER talk about someone or ruin their career based on jealousy, lack of knowlege, or fun fingers (typing frenzy)... ASSUME is ASS U ME it makes an ass out of U and unfortunately ME is SHANE CARWIN in this situation. Shane is an amazing person, athletically he has a G-D given talent. I have known the man for a very long time now, and yes in highschool, EVERYONE is smaller than after college,(even Shane, people used to give him a hard time because of how small he was back then and that was only while he was in his first years of college) heck even after their first year of college. Shane has worked his ass off to be where he is now and continues to work his ass off. DO NOT defame his character by printing useless information that is NOT fact!!!! Please feel free to comment back to me personally if you want to as I do not hide behind any ninja name here "Roid rage man"--- This is Anne Whipple, if you don't know who I am then ask anyone and they can tell you and even tell you how to get a hold of me. I welcome your FACTS... especially about the other ROF fighters who are have allegidly il-gotten muscles!!! As for drug testing, ask Donnie... or you could ASSUME once again... I personally saw Josef waiting for the piss cup after the Pueblo No Mercy fight against him and John Cronk. Josef is not stupid, the testing is here it is just not BROADCASTED to all of the spectators. ROF is an elite show that I am VERY proud to be a part of. The athletes on the fight card are very repectfully chosen and it with a high honor to fight on the card. And there is NO fighter that is OVER used. This fight card alone actually has 4 household names and 13 new fighters to the cage (at the time I saw the fight card as posted on this site) so how is this ALL the same fighters? Each fight promotion across the US has a different style of how they line up their matches... if a promoter treats the fighters the way they should be treated they will fight again for that promoter. WOW, I feel a "little" better now... Thanks Dinstitue and mrmusclemaker! |

... Well Anne I know you are pretty fired up, while i agree about accusing anyone of using roids is wrong, I have to disagree on the testing thing. yeah donnie may have gotten tested, but how many shows go on where there is no testing after the main events? A lot, and that's what stopped strike force for wanting to come here. There needs to be a PUBLIC ruling on the standards of the drug testing, just like any other respectable comission. And if he was so smart, how come they JUST started blood testing? How safe is that? |

... and don't be upset about "the forum" be upset at the people who posted what pissed you off. To many people locally here can't figure out that just because some people have an opinion on here, that everyone doesn't share that opinion. It is a public forum, s**t like that is going to happen, and if local fighters ever plan on getting into a bigger picture they are going to have to get used to that type of stuff, or just avoid MMA forums on line. |

... I think that SVENS RING OF FIRE speaks for its self. i have had the pleasure to fight on his cards numerous times now and if it were up to me that would be the only show that i would ever fight on. HE TREATS HIS FIGHTERS LIKE GOLD and puts on the best show hands down in Central US. Why ninjas think they have to come and talk crap is beyond me. abviously they are jealous and/or have never been in the ring and understand the sacrifices that are made to be a fighter. so who ever you are screw off cause you are not welcome to be apart of this sports.......TOOL. |

... Just wanted to clear things real quick. This was in no way intended to insult any other promotors. I will fight for other promotions but the point was that Sven has paid his dues and conducts his shows very well. There are many other promotions that are very good just not as big YET. So if I offend anyone im sorry. well accept for the dude talkin mess. he can still eat my shorts (my vale tudo shorts. after a long sweaty work out) |

... Chris, I know that as a PUBLIC forum that the people that post do not always agree with what other people write, that is one of the beauty's of it being a PUBLIC and free speech forum! You are ok! Thanks for the support Mike and everyone else. And yes, as Colorado develops so will the drug testing... so until then c'est la vie |
