... Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Caballero VS. Bobay will happen. We are trying to find a new opponent for Adam, however, so check back soon. |

... My manager is in control of the situation now, and whatever his recommendation is will guide this situation for me. Hopefully an agreement can be reached. I just want the people to know that it was news to me that I was slated to fight Adam Bobay. I was told the fight between myself and Santana-Martinez was officially on. Sorry to disappoint and I'm sure that is a fight that we can make happen somewhere down the line. Vellore |

... The Main event should be a great fight. I saw Jacob Hey fight in September and should be a great test for Roller. I am pulling for Roller but I don't think he can match Hey's strength and wrestling experience. |

... To be honest, I do have big dreams in this sport. I really want to make a name for myself and stake a claim as a legitimate fighter. I will offer no excuse for why I make the decisions that I do regarding my fight choices. To those who actually understand why fighters choose to fight some fights, and choose to put others off for various reasons, please keep supporting me. To those who don't, throw stones. Whatever makes you happy. It's my career not yours. Oh and BTW, which of these local "tough guys" is on their way to the big show by fighting just anyone at anytime???? Oh yeah, none of them. The ones that go are the ones with good management who make good decisions regarding their fighters. Try being a man and standing behind what you say with your real name out there instead of hiding behind the guest name. Vellore |

... Every day decisions are made in business and not everyone understands others decisions and that is O.K . I am happy to have everyone on the card ,and I am happy to have Vallore the Tap Or Snap Champion making his pro debut on our card and folks Santana is not coming to take a loss he continues training hard and is ready to get it on !this man is a tough guy and always comes fueled and ready to go . I think it will be a great fight along with the other great fights scheduled . I wish everyone well, stay safe and I thank everyone involved for the support . |

... Vellore, That is a good explanation but don't expect someone who does not manage fighters to understand the importance of this. Especially at the pro level. Every fight you take going forward has career implacations. At this point you have to ignore ignorance and trust your management. As I stated I would love to see you fight Adam as would many others. And based on several factors I also assume this is not a match up you management would neccessarily like to see. Those who have been around the fight game for more than a week understand it even if they do not like it. Best of luck in your career. |

... No but seriously.. We would not have took the fight if we didnt think it wa goning to be tough..keith offered us a fight on the 26th agains some othe guy.. but we figured This one would be more tough and better for Andrew.. He was going to fight Wille J. Jackson... but Wille had military stuff to tend to..(so my prayers are with him). So vincent was the next best thing after that.. so we took it.. It should be fun. |

... Careers in fighting are totally different from any other sport. I've said this for a long time. If a football team has a loosing season, they get another chance next year. If a fighter looses a few fights that stays with him FOREVER!!!!! Records are seen by spectators as everything. If a guy is undefeated then he is seen as being far above a guy with only one loss. Perception is reality. Future fights are set up by your winning record not who you've lost to. You don't get a solid record by fighting the toughest guys everytime out. Those fights are good for the crowds to watch, but it's not good for buiding a career. Remember guys, fighters should be, and I'm sure Vellore is, looking at the big picture. Colorado is one of 50 states and is not even a blip on the world map. Nobody should be thinking small. At some point you are going to have to prove yourself. I for one would rather prove myself in the UFC for a big paycheck, than prove myself and for some reason come up short, then never get another opportunity again. |

... Eric I agree. A fighter has no choice but to think BIG.....Look I have 4 motives in this sport.....A CAREER, CULTURE, EXPERIENCE and LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS. 1. A Career - Look Lets be honest and say that most people are in this to get rich and famous. I wont lie by saying that is a something I want. I know that I have so much more to learn before I can expect that but I do want to be finacially stable by participating in this sport. Not have to worry about how im paying next months rent or car payment. I will get to that part (hopefully) only cause I have so much drive and williness to be the best. I am fortunate to be around great trainers and friends that support this fact. 2. The Culture - I think that too many fighters over look this. There are so many people out there that just want to beat people up. I love fighting so much more knowing the background of what I do. I really take it to heart. The Hawaiian and filipino martial arts is a very deverse one and I learn more everyday. Knowing why I take angles or move this way or that way and understanding that it was developed to fend off this movement in war. Its all important, you really appreciate what you learn so much more after this. 3. Experience - There is no substitute for experience. The more the better. The more fights you take in a smart period the better. im not saying take 2 fights a month or even one for that matter. You learn by repitition. Also I try not limit myself to training either. Iv trained with many great people. Gabe Beaperthey, Gabe Chaboneau, Eric Lalone, Freddy George and more. All I know is that I can never learn enough. I am a human sponge...... 4. Long Term Relationships - I have never met a better group of people than Fighters and Trainers....Some of my best friends now are in some way associated to this sport. I love the fact that MOST of us know that fine line between business and pleasure. Almost every fighter Iv met are good people. Knowing that difference while in the ring and out is very important. That outside perception that we are all crazy and a******s is finally starting to fade away. I want to thank everyone for helping with that. Plain and simple I love this sport, the people in this sport. I will do anything to make what we do better. |

... Just to play devil's advocate: if you run up a padded record (say 20-0) and then the call to fight in a bigger show, what usually happens is the fighter is caught off guard and gets overwhelmed. You should be careful with your career but also prepare yourself for the future. I'm not saying Vellore's record is padded. I have only seen him fight once or twice and was impressed with his skill. The fights I saw WERE cakewalks for him though. I'm sure he's had one or two tough fights but I don't see many guys around here that can push him. If I were Vellore I'd be looking beyond the CO scene. I think that's the biggest problem around here: guys get tunnel vision and only fight here in CO. If you want to build a name for yourself, you've gotta travel a bit. Maybe it's just a lack of proper management.? |

... Well this is Vallore's first pro fight, so I think he shouldn't travel, at least for his first fight. Plus he has geroge Ransom as a manager who can get him a fight outside of CO no problem. i think they are just waiting till he has more pro fights under his belt. I can't say that is what they are doing, but I am pretty sure it is. |

... Lets think about this. Bringing a fighter along takes time. Yes a fighter needs to be tested. But all in time. Look at Sugar Ray. He had what??? 9 10 fish before he was challanged? And this was an olympic boxer. A smart manager is patient and takes his time. There is plenty of time to test. And I gotta say I have not seen anyone picked apart as much as Velore. Not sure why but seems everyone wants to toss darts. I think that velore will win. But if ya'll think his oponent is a walk over then you are mistaken. Being an old fella and being around a bit I can say this is a smart fight for a debut pro with potential. Good Luck Velore! |
